If it involves actually making the scan/vector/paint/whatever fit into an actual background that doesn't just involve default/Deviant Art vector brushes and sparkles, count me in... :P But be warned I'm uber busy nowadays so progress might be at snail's pace. We should use other methods of contacting as well - a more real time method LOL. PM me a way to contact when you're ready for one. :P

Haha, I still keep it old school because vectoring is boring for me and I'm too lazy to paint... >__> Actually my next REAL projects consist of those two skills... But that would be conforming to the masses, now wouldn't it? =__= Until then, more half assed scan extensions+texture=win?

LOL A month ago, I dedicated myself to comment on every single wallpaper that turned up in the gallery for two weeks, mostly because I had noticed the quality of wallpapers had went downhill since I joined. (One year after you hehe...) Basically stuff that had been rejected when I first came in, are now acceptable and in the gallery... I didn't want to flame or make such a big deal of it so I wanted to do a secret operation - "Senior Member Submit Crap And See What Happens..."

I understood your original author comments perfectly, but it didn\\\'t change the fact that it was a half-assed job. Request or not. You could have said you worked it on for days, but the end results are what really matters. Likewise if someone didn\\\'t make much of an effort but it looked amazing, I\\\'d say it was amazing regardless on how much time it was worked on and vice versa. I\\\'m not downplaying that effort is meaningless, certainly there are walls were efforts really shines.

I also understood that grunge was a forte of yours, in fact I absolutely love a lot of your works, but it was really a letdown to see something like that come from you. I do hope you continue to make great wallpapers and not take offense to my comments.

Ah but see, the point is, it WAS a half-assed job and the fact that I stated I did almost nothing for this wallpaper but it got to top rated/faves is what I was trying to prove - members of this site will fave anything if:

a) You\'re popular enough
b) It has enough sparkle but no actual design
c) They can\'t do it themselves (non-wallers)
d) If they don\'t see the original scan to compare it to

Guess it was a test proven right? >__> That\'s why I said I\'d remove it in two days... And once again I THANK YOU for being one of the only ones who saw that. I was very disappointed when I received faves from senior members when I specifically told them not to... (Sadly, I received the same love in MT.)

The original was much more vibrant, I really don't like how you gave it a orange tint and an even grunger look. It really makes the lightning on her odd compared to the rest of the background. Resizing it really killed the original quality of the image as well, blurring out alot of the clean, crisp lines I remember from the original. The text work is also really shoddy and detracts too much with the subject herself. Something more subtle would've been better. I have no problems with scan extensions so long as they did it tastefully in respect with the original image, but I don't really see that here.

Thank you for giving me the only bad comment thus far. If you'd read my comments as the author, you would have seen how little I cared for this wallpaper and expressed how this was made as a request from my brother whom I did not want to exhaust that much effort for.

However, I have no idea how downsizing on a 3000px scan can make the quality worse... As for the grunge - that's my style. Refer to my entire gallery. Ciao~
